FRAMES of REPRESENTATION (FoR) is a laboratory conceived in 2015 to engage with new visions of cinema through supporting exhibition, production and distribution of innovative and politically aware cinematic languages.
Nico Marzano (Founder/Artistic Director) curates the film programme and runs the film distribution arm at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London (ICA) bringing a unique programme of independent and socially relevant films to UK audience. As well as hosting industry debates, masterclasses and Q&As with contemporary international artists and filmmakers, Nico regularly serves on international film festival juries including Venice Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, Cinema Du Reel, and as a tutor for pitching forums and film workshops including Cannes Film Festival and CPH:DOX among others. Nico has been a guest lecturer at Birkbeck University of London, Falmouth University, Kingston University. Nico contributes to various academic film journals with film reviews and film theory essays.

Each year the festival is supported by guest speakers, Q&A hosts, filmmakers and marketing and production assistants. We believe in paying for work - and thus do not offer any voluntary positions.
